Case Study - Six Week Old Baby Girl

A mother contacted Dr Bateman about her six week old baby girl.   She had gone one week over term during her pregnancy, she had been induced and went through a prolonged labour.

After the birth she reported that her baby girl spent hours every night crying until she was hoarse and drawing up her knees, also that she took a long time to settle but during the day she seemed to be generally fine.

When an examination was performed on the baby girl they found restrictions on her upper cervical and upper and mid thoracic.   No other abnormalities were detected and her development was seen as normal.

After her first treatment with Dr Bateman the mother reported that her daughter settled better but was still upset for a time.   After her second treatment the baby girl settled very quickly and slept extremely well.   The mother also reported that there was no prolonged crying at all.   Since the second consultation there has been no further treatment necessary.

Procedure
The gaps between this patients' teeth were prepared with a mild acidic solution ( to allow white filling material selected to match the original teeth colour ) to be bonded. No injections were necessary and the whole new smile was delivered in 1.5 hours. Instantly improving the smile and the patient walked out with the new look and a revitalised self confidence.

After having bad experiences every time I had gone to the dentist in the past I was absolutely petrified of the dentist which is why it had been twenty years since my last visit.
