Zen Counselling with Sheree Wymer
The fact that you are reading my profiles suggests you are looking for help of some sort so, firstly, welcome, and secondly, let me assure you that I am here to offer you a listening ear, a helping hand and, most importantly, to help you find the way forward you seek.
Moving forward is the key to an enjoyable life. Being stuck in the proverbial ‘rut’ is something we all experience from time to time, whether it be a psychological rut or a more physical variation.
I trained as a counsellor to ensure other people had an easier route forward than my own.
I am a qualified professional counsellor accredited by the University of Essex.
The renowned Dr John Butler has also trained me in hypnotherapy. But I have that other most valuable qualification – a degree in life.
I won’t patronise you, I won’t utter lame platitudes, I won’t make empty promises and I won’t baffle you in counselling speak.
But I will listen, I will adopt a totally non-judgemental stance and I will help you achieve your goals.
Very often we find it difficult to express intense feelings, such as anger, embarrassment, grief, guilt and hate to our friends and family. Counselling can offer you space and time to express and explore such feelings, in a safe supportive place.
Counselling is a two-way street, a relationship of two minds working together to achieve one goal. I will accept all of you, and, together, we will work towards getting you where you want to be.
Sometimes by exploring painful and difficult experiences, we can begin to make sense of what has happened, and come to understand the affect it may be having upon us and our well-being.
Client confidentiality is absolutely sacred and I am CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked.
It is widely considered that counselling is most effective face-to-face. However, I also accept some people’s circumstances, or preferences, make telephone counselling a preferred option.
I have an established private practice in the relaxing surroundings of the Zen Clinic at the Tollgate Medical Centre in Colchester.
I also offer an employer counselling service, to complement an employer’s Occupational Health Scheme, and this can be provided either at their place of work or in a neutral environment.
Some of the areas where I can offer help are:-
* Abuse
* Addiction
* Anger management
* Anxiety

Counselling is not about giving advice or taking away your autonomy, it is about helping you to understand yourself and your situation, whilst providing the tools to enable you to build up your self-esteem, and empowering you to be able to make choices and decisions that are right for you as an individual. It is about offering support and understanding to enable you to deal with life changes or simply coming to terms with life events.
So if you don’t want to be where you currently are, give me a call and together we can discuss ways to move you forward , to a place where you want to be.
