Case Study 12

Problem:
- There are white spots on the teeth. These are areas of diminished calcification of the outer covering ( enamel ) of the tooth.
-
The white spots are quite noticeable causing self-consciousness and limiting the natural tendency to smile and laugh.
Solution:
- Minimal tooth structure is removed in the area of the white spots and a composite material which is perfectly matched to the colour of the adjacent teeth is placed making the white spots invisible.
- This is accomplished in only one appointment often without the need for anesthetic.
