Case Study 2

Problem:
-
The existing porcelain veneers on the central and lateral incisors stick out too far and create an unnatural appearance. They are also too yellow in colour and do not match the adjacent veneers.
-
Because the gum line is too low the lateral incisors appear too short relative to the central incisors.
Solution:
- A diagnostic cosmetic waxup is completed to function as a prototype of the final treatment allowing visualisation of the final result before treatment is initiated.
- Provisional veneers are placed to confirm the accuracy of the cosmetic waxup and allow any final adjustments to be made. These esthetic temporary veneers are worn during the completion of the final veneers.
- A procedure is performed on the gum tissue to allow for improved tooth length of the central and lateral incisors.
- Final porcelain laminate veneers are placed on 10 teeth. The colour, shape and length of the veneers are in harmony with the facial features. The result is a warm and beautiful smile.
