Case Study 5

Problem:
-
The large gap between the central incisors is the focus of the face and smile causing embarrassment and a reluctance to smile.
-
Simply adding material to the central incisors would make these teeth look too wide creating an unesthetic appearance.
Solution:
- A temporary tooth coloured material is placed in a matter of minutes to allow visualisation of the smile without a gap prior to initiating treatment.
- A diagnostic cosmetic waxup is completed to establish proper tooth size and to function as a prototype of the final treatment.
- Provisional veneers are placed to confirm the accuracy of the cosmetic waxup and any necessary adjustments are made.
- Four porcelain laminate veneers are placed. The spacing is natural and the smile beautiful.
